Prevents, delays and reduces the use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (ATOD) among Asian youth in San Francisco.
Students who are in the program receives a stipend of $400 (also depends on our budget) as a scholarship/internship for doing a research project and presentation to advocate against drugs and alcohol.
Offers the following to Asian and Pacific Islander youth:
Youth Support Groups - addresses various issues Asian and Pacific Islander youth face
Asian Youth Prevention Services Referral Line lists mental health/substance abuse services and support services
Case Management and Counseling provided as needed
Youth Development - providing activities such as team sports, group trips to movies, amusement parks, camping trips, and other recreational and sports activities
Early Substance Abuse Intervention - providing case management and limited counseling
