EVICTION MORATORIUM On March 24, 2020 the Marin County Board of Supervisors approved an emergency resolution to prevent residents and business owners from being evicted because of a sudden loss of income tied to the COVID-19 pandemic. This ban is in effect countywide in every city, town, and unincorporated area of Marin County and lasts until May 31, 2020, unless extended by the Board of Supervisors. The resolution requires renters and lease holders to notify their landlord within 30 days after the rent is due that they are unable to pay because of financial impacts related to COVID-19. Owns and manages public housing units. Also administers the following programs and services:
Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) - provides rental subsidy for very low-income families. Client pays approximately 30% of their monthly income and Section 8 pays the remainder of the rent directly to property owner.
Below Market Rate Homeownership Program - provides an opportunity for low- to moderate-income, first-time homebuyers. Client may purchase specific condominium units in Marin County at less than market value.
Residential Rehab Loan Program - provides low-interest property improvement loans and technical assistance to qualified homeowners. Helps repair property, correct substandard conditions, and eliminate health and safety hazards.

Intake and Eligibility: Subsidized housing: Individual with a disability, senior (age 62 and over), or family that meets HUD (Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development) income eligibility.
