  • Rental Assistance


    Note for Coronavirus response period:

    Not accepting in-person food donations.
    All individual and group volunteer shifts are cancelled until further notice.
    Dining Room
    Meals are now packaged to-go and served curbside, distributed from the Dining Room entrance on Jones Street or Golden Gate Avenue.
    Winter Shelter
    St. Anthony’s Winter Shelter is currently closed.
    Free Clothing Program
    No walk-in services or in-person appointments. Hygiene kits and emergency shoes and clothing for guests with an immediate need are still provided curbside on Golden Gate Avenue. Donations of new and gently-used clothing are accepted by special, socially-distanced appointments made in advance.
    Hand Washing & Hand Sanitizing Stations
    Additional hand washing and hand sanitizing stations have been placed outside of the Dining
    Room’s Golden Gate Avenue entrance and along Golden Gate Avenue.
    Client Safety Services
    The Client Safety Services team is providing support to Saint Anthony programs outside the 121
    and 150 Golden Gate Avenue buildings (including lunch distribution and neighborhood trash
    clean-up). They will also continue to provide services as usual at external sites under contract.

    Provides financial assistance for rental housing costs through Homelessness Prevention Funds.

    Provides rental deposit or back rent for people with disabilities, seniors (age 60 and over) and families with minor children (age 17 or under).

    Financial assistance is only available once per household.

    Intake and Eligibility: Rental deposit: <br />- Family with minor child(ren) (age 17 or under), senior (age 60 and over) or individual with disability (age 18 and over) <br />- Must not have accessed Season of Sharing (SOS) funds in over ten years <br /> <br />Back rent: <br />- Individual or family who has not accessed SOS funds at any time in the past ten years <br /> <br />Limited back rent or rental deposits available for single, non-disabled adults who have not used funds in the last five years. <br /> <br />
