To locate emergency food, go to foodlocator.sfmfoodbank.org and DO NOT specify a zip code. List will display emergency food sites that are currently operating across the county. There is no registration process at this time. Participants can simply go to a site to receive assistance.
Pop-up pantries are being opened across SF and Marin to accommodate large numbers of people who have lost access to food due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also operating seven pantries at schools, providing to-go meals for students. When students and parents pick up their breakfast and lunch, they will also be able to get pre-bagged groceries to take home.
Continuing to purchase and send out extra shelf-stable food items (above and beyond the typical bag of groceries) for participants to set aside in case they can’t make it to a future weekly pantry.
Also home-delivering to the most vulnerable populations, including low-income seniors.
Accepting volunteers to participate in home-delivery programs and provide groceries to homebound seniors.
Provides a three-day supply of emergency food without enrollment. Assistance is available once every 12 months.
Provides food to people experiencing one-time emergencies. Refers participants to a weekly or monthly distribution program if necessary.
